Day 6 - Terra Cotta Warriors - Xi'an

We went to see the Terra Cotta Warriors.  These were made by a King to protect him when he died.  He was very afraid of death because he had killed so many people.  He obviously had thousands of people help make these.  When he was done he killed them because he didn't want others to know where he would be buried.

The workmanship on these are amazing.  Different faces and expressions, and they at one time were all lined up.  They're still excavating them.  They were discovered by a farmer.

There are 3 large excavation sites.
