Ughur Museum and Turpan - Day 2 of Silk Road Tour

We went to a museum in Ughur.  It shows the many nationalities living in the area and their traditional dress and styles from the past.  It was very interesting.

 These styles are very colorful.

The museum had 1000 year old mummies.

This was a jade piece that was carved.  Beautiful!

We took a bus 3 hours to Turpan.  We ate at stayed at this hotel.

The signs are humorous in the way they are translated.  We take pictures of many of them.

This is the Jiaohe Ancient City well irrigation system at the Karze Well.  They show how it was made and used.  It's amazing what they did.

We visited a site of earth dwellings.  They are very old, I think about 1000 or 2000 years.   We climbed around and saw amazing views.
