Nanjing City Life
This is crossing the streets of Nanjing. We have to watch for buses, cars, taxis (who are really crazy), motorcycles, electric bikes, and bikes. Pedestrians are last on the totem pole.
The traffic lanes are all over. Even left turn lanes on the right of the straight thru lanes!
We have little stores lining the streets like this. They are from clothing to print shops, bike repair, to little restaurants this size.
Above is a fancy mall we have several stops away on the Metro (subway). It's called the Deji Plaza. It's very spendy and this is at the top on the 8th floor looking down.
Above and to the side is a guy we met who was with his friends celebrating his birthday. They saw us speaking English and wanted to talk, then the friends left and he wanted to stay with us. He walked around with us and he didn't want us to leave when we did. He was very nice and we bought him a birthday ice cream.
Below you can see the very trendy stores. Very different from the street stores we have down our roads.
